Customer Reviews

This book predates Genetically modified seeds by about 100 years. The tips are extremely practical. If the reader is aware that the book is written in 1912, I think they can enjoy it. For a gardener of passion, like myself, I just loved the tone and words. This for example is very cool, "To-Day the garden is in the zenith of its glory... To-night - who knows? grim winter may fling the first fleet-winged detachment of his advance across the land..." Are you kidding me? This was like garden Shakespear talking. I marked it down to 4 stars because it might put some people off at the old timey talk. But I loved it.

I bought this book in hopes of getting some good tips for keeping my plants alive in the house through the winter, but was dissapointed after reading a few chapters because there isn't any new information in it.
