This is the best sprinkler I've ever had. After buying one, I bought another.
Most sprinkers from Home Depot of Lowe's are plastic and break after about a year, probably planned obsolescence.
I would caution against the smaller Gilmour 167MMS, however. This might be the one I got a couple years ago which was NOT made of a metal three prong stand. The stand was composite and made to look like metal and broke the first week I owned it. You need one like the 199LMS with a stand consisting of real metal. Unfortunately they don't give enough information in the Amazon product description to tell which models have a real metal stands and which don't. Perhaps one could find that information on the internet.
Had to spray the whole thing quite heavily with W-40, but this sprinkler works great! Heavy duty, well constructed - I liked the triangle base which sat very securely where I placed it. Great job
